Hart County Superintendent Ricky Line said it wouldn’t have been possible without the help of the Hart County Fiscal Court, Judge Executive Terry Martin, Hart County Industrial Authority, local industry and the greater community.
Line is talking about the new Green River College and Career Academy. The first of its kind, the complex will house dual credit classes for students during the day and adult education classes at night. Judge Martin says this is the future:
The Green River College and Career Academy is the first time the two districts have partnered. The four classroom unit will be adjacent to the Hart County High School complex. It will house programs in transportation, business education and allied health.
With funding secured, Line says they are meeting with the architects next week:
The district received a little over $3million dollars in grant money to pay for the project.
