Baby with gunshot wound leads to two arrests

Two Edmonson County parents are in jail after failing to take their 6-month-old for care, following a gunshot wound.

According to the Edmonson County Sheriff’s office, CPS went to the home of Hennessy Richardson and Candace Patterson on allegations of child endangerment.

The couple claimed to have been part of a shooting incident while driving, and authorities discovered eight bullet holes in their car.

In addition to Richardson and Patterson, a 7-year-old and a 6-month-old occupied the vehicle. According to the report the 7- year -old was taken to school while the 6-month-old had an open wound for 10 days following the shooting.

Hennessey had outstanding Kentucky warrant.

Both Hennessy and Patterson are charged with criminal abuse 1st degree, and wanton endangerment.
