On Saturday, Deputy Caleb Butler and Sheriff Jeff Wilson with the Hart County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 6000 block of North Dixie Hwy in regards to a suspicious male lying close to the roadway. After investigation, Jacob Oldham, age 41, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine), Public Intoxication-Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol), Drug Paraphernalia-Buy/Possess and Promoting Contraband-1st Degree for having Methamphetamine hidden on his person after being taken in Hart County Jail.
Also on Wednesday, Deputy Jacob Hodges arrested Michael A. Reynolds, age 33, of Bonnieville. Reynolds was arrested for the following: Absconding Parole Supervision, Failure to Complete Treatment for Substance Abuse and Failure to Report to Parole Officer. Reynolds was also served an outstanding bench warrant for Failure to Appear on the charges of: Theft by Unlawful Taking $500 or More But Under $10,000 and being a Persistent Felony Offender, 1st. At the time of arrest, Reynolds was found to be in possession of Methamphetamine and was subsequently charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 3rd or Greater Offense (Methamphetamine). Reynolds was lodged in the Hart County Jail in lieu of a $100,000.00 cash bond. Assisting on scene was Deputy Steven Shields.
