MORE EVIDENCE RELEASED IN THE STEVE NUNN CASE: SHOWS A MAN DEALING WITH TORMENT PDF Print
Monday, 08 August 2011 06:28

Former Kentucky lawmaker Steve Nunn had

lost a dream job, was drinking hard and trolling the Internet for

women as his life spiraled downward in the months before it

crashed.

Nunn pleaded guilty in June to murder in the 2009 shooting death

of his ex-fiancee, Amanda Ross, and was sentenced to life without

parole.

In documents released by Lexington officials, family and friends

fretted about his decline, and his two daughters talked about

having him committed.

Those closest to Nunn painted a portrait of a tormented man. His

daughters told police their father's drinking became worse after

Ross had obtained an emergency protective order against him.

The Lexington Herald-Leader requested the case file under the

Kentucky Open Records Act. The first volume was released last week.
