Eileen Compton age 83 formerly of the Nell Community in Adair County died Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Barren County Health Center. She was pastor of the Grace Chapel Church in the Nell Community for 23 years, was a homemaker and she enjoyed gardening, cooking and reading.

She is survived by three sons Clayton Timothy Compton and wife Vicky of Edmonton, Mark Compton and wife Debbie of Glasgow and Daniel Compton and wife Mary of Fisherville, Ky; eight grandchildren Candice Robertson, Crystal Kingery, Christopher Mark Buchanan, Nathan Compton, Hannah Colvin, Sara Kyle, William and Robert Compton.  She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren and a sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents Boss Elder and Lou Bertie Soles Coleman and her husband Clayton Howard Compton on October 31, 2000.

Funeral services for Eileen Compton will be held at 11am Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with interment in the Moore Cemetery at Gradyville.  Visitation after 2pm Wednesday.
