Howard “Buddy” Lucas age 92 of Smiths Grove died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his residence.   He was a general contractor, member, deacon and elder of the Smiths Grove Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Lions Club and WWII Army Veteran.

He is survived by two daughers, Ann K. Lucas of Georgia and Elizabeth Johnson of Bowling Green; two grandchildren, Erin Hunter and husband Clint of Franklin and Staff Sergeant Chris Johnson of Afghanistan; a cousin Bennye Moody of Franklin.

He was preceded in death by his parents Arch Lucas and Lucille Henderson Lucas and his wife Ann Kirby Lucas.

Funeral services for Howard ‘Buddy” Lucas will be held at 2pm Thursday at the Smiths Grove Presbyterian Church with burial in the Smiths Grove Cemetery.  Visitation from 5 to 8pm Wednesday at the Hardy and Son Funeral Home, Smiths Grove Chapel.

Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Smiths Grove Presbyterian Church.
