Leroy James, 81, of Oakland, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Edmonson Care and Rehab Center in Brownsville. He worked for Mutual and Omaha Insurance Company, Firestone Textiles and retired as a farmer in Warren County. He was a member and a deacon of the Oakland Baptist Church, he was also a Mason.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years Betty Marshall James, one sister, Wilma Ruth Clagett of Elizabethtown; three sons, Kenneth James and wife Lori, Keith James and wife Carolyn, Kirby James and wife Vanessa all of Bowling Green; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Funeral services for Leroy James will be held at 11am Friday February 17, 2012 at the Hardy and Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in the Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1pm to 8pm, Thursday February 16, 2012 at the funeral home with Masonic service at 7pm.
