Eighteen-year-old William Jacob Stewart of Lucas was arrested Tuesday night at about 8:30 by the Glasgow Police Department on West Main Street. Stewart was charged with Possession of Synthetic Cannabinoids; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence, 1st Offense. The arrest occurred after Captain Lindsey stopped to assist Stewart with vehicle inoperability. Stewart showed signs of impairment. A package of rolling papers was also observed in plain view inside the car. Stewart failed field sobriety tests. A package of “Hydro” synthetic cannabinoid was then found in the car that Stewart admitted to smoking, along with a roach. Stewart was lodged in the Barren County Correctional Center. Officer Cowan made the arrest.
