Ralph Jackson Wright 81 of Glasgow died Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green.  Born in Cumberland County, he was a son of the late Charity O. and Mabel Tompkins Wright.  Ralph was a former truck driver, heavy equipment operator, mechanic and a farmer.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by 4 children, Juanita Cox (Allen) of Bowling Green, Charles Jackson Wright (Monisa) of Woodburn, KY, Bernice F. Greene of Tyler, TX and Martha Nell Thomas (Jessie) of Glasgow; 2 step-sons Anthony David Lyle (Peggy) and Terry Burks (Alice); 9 grandchildren Christopher Cox (Jennifer), Susan Cox Harmon (Stephen), Frank Wright (Shannon), Alex Wright (Megan), Robert Jackson Wright, Layne Greene Grimes (Jonathan), Catherine Greene, John David Thomas (Lindsay) and Charles R.Thomas; 8 great-grandchildren Kayla Harmon, Kathryn Harmon, Trey Arnold, GraysonCox, Maverick Wright, Elliot Jackson Wright, Grace Ann Thomas and Luke Thomas; 2 step-grandchildren David Christopher Lyle and Karen Kozac (Shane); 1 step-great grandchild Nathan Kozac; 4 sisters Linda Bybee (Jerry) and Jo Elmore of Louisville, Freda Simpson (Troy) of Park City and Becky Spear (Bill) of Glasgow; 1 brother Billy Wright (Betty) of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Madison Wright, 4 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Chestnut Grove Ridge Cemetery in Cumberland County.  Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM Tuesday.

 

Today is Linda Wells Day!  Linda is retiring from Donnelly's with 36 years of service.
