John Edd Shirley, age 69 of Tompkinsville passed away Monday at his home.

He is survived by his wife: Lula Cross Shirley; one son: Jeffrey Shirley of Wamego, Kansas; two daughters: Johnna Beth Nunneley of Yokohama, Japan and Rebekah Grantham of Houston, Texas; two brothers: Jim Shirley of Tompkinsville and Kelly Shirley of Marshall, Virginia; two sisters: Betsy Rush of Tompkinsville and Frances Butler of Sparta Tennessee; 7 grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for John Edd Shirley will be at 1pm Friday at The First Baptist in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in the White Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2pm to 9pm at the Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church in Tompkinsville, White Cemetery or Monroe County FFA.
