A two-vehicle accident in Glasgow on Friday at about 4pm sent a juvenile passenger to the hospital for treatment. The collision occurred when Bradley Keys, 20 of Tompkinsville, turned left onto Wall Street from North L. Rogers Wells Boulevard. Keys stated that when he made the turn he was struck in the driver’s side of his vehicle by the front of a vehicle driven by 17-year-old Sarah E. Scott of Scottsville. Keys also stated that he had seen the Scott vehicle sitting at the stop sign on Smith Road, facing south, before he turned onto Wall Street, and then was struck by the Scott vehicle as he turned onto Wall Street. Scott stated that she had been sitting at the stop sign at the intersection of Smith Road and Wall Street. She said she thought that the intersection was clear when she continued on, but then observed the Keys vehicle in front of her. Scott stated that she applied her brakes, but could not stop her vehicle in time to avoid the collision. A witness to the accident stated that he had observed Scott sitting at the stop sign at the intersection and then saw Scott take off from the stop sign at the same time that Keys pulled into Wall Street from North L. Rogers Wells Boulevard. The witness said that the Scott vehicle then struck the Keys vehicle in the driver’s side. A juvenile in the Keys vehicle was taken to TJ Samson Community Hospital by the Barren-Metcalfe EMS for treatment. Officer McGuire of the Glasgow Police Department investigated.
