On Monday at 9:43 A.M. Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green, responded to KY 88 east of Hardyville, KY regarding a single vehicle injury collision. According to Trooper Joel Huff, a vehicle being operated by Albert Walters age 52 of Munfordville, KY was traveling west on KY 88 in his 1994 Mercury Cougar. Mr. Walters exited the left side of the roadway just east of the intersection of KY 88 and Rex Road. Mr. Walters continued east off the roadway before crossing over Rex Road and striking a fence. He continued east in a field traveling back through the same fence and toward KY 88. Mr. Walters then traveled down an embankment and went into a 180 degree spin as he crossed over KY 88 and off the North side of the roadway before coming to a final rest into a field. Mr. Walters was not wearing his seatbelt and was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital by Air Methods Helicopter where he was admitted for his injuries. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the collision and charges are pending. Trooper Huff is leading the investigation and he was assisted on scene by Deputy Kenneth Glass, Hardyville Fire Department, Hart County EMS and Air Methods Helicopter.
