Willie Dee Ritter, 84, of Glasgow died Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Barren County, he was the son of the late Corbin and Lillie Peers Ritter. Mr. Ritter was a Korean War Veteran serving with the 1st Armored Division, U.S. Army. He was retired from RCA after 30 years of service in Marion, Indiana. He attended the Lick Branch Cumberland Presbyterian Church with wonderful Christian friends the he loved dearly. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Alene Bush Ritter; a daughter Kim Ritter of Glasgow; a brother Leroy Ritter of Glasgow and 4 sisters Vonda Oliver, Annis Parrish and Joyce Shaw all of Glasgow, Glenda Gassaway of Smithville, TN, and was considered a honorary grandfather to Lisa and Krista Hawkins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 4 sisters Alyene Smith, Betty New, Ruth England and Velma Hurt. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Lick Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and Saturday morning until time for the service.
