A two-vehicle-head-on collision on Roseville Road shortly before 3:00 Wednesday afternoon, May 2, resulted in the death of a Gamaliel man.

54-year-old Kevin R. Wheeler was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by Barren County Coroner Mike Swift.

The driver of the second vehicle involved, 48-year-old Jerry G. Mefford and his passenger, 34-year-old Richard D. Hess, both of Bowling Green, were transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital by Barren-Metcalfe Emergency Medical Services, where they were treated and released.

The investigation continues under the direction of accident re-constructionist, Deputy Kevin Wilson. Also responding to the scene, were Deputies Adam Bow, Mike Wood, Steve Runyon, Kent Keen and Detective Rusty Anderson. Glasgow Police Department accident re-constructionist, Captain Charlie Lowery, also assisted.

Members of the Haywood and Temple Hill Volunteer Fire Departments and the Glasgow Fire Department were first responders at the crash.
