Disaster and Emergency Services Director Tony Richey left his home early Saturday morning as soon as the tornado warning was issued for Eastern Barren County.   As the wind and debris blew in front of him, he saw a car off the roadway, glanced for a spit second to see if they needed help, and then ran straight into a large tree that had fallen on highway 63 near the intersection of Lena Drive.  Richey was taken to T.J. Samson Hospital for treatment and later released.

But in true dedication he is known for, Tony spent the rest of the day as a part of the damage assessment team.  Richey gives us their findings.
