The Lady Scottie tennis team competed in the 1st round of the Region 4 KHSAA championship on Saturday.

Chandra Taylor drew a bye and will be competing on Monday after school.

MacLean Lessenberry won her match over Cybil Gordon of Monroe County 6-2, 6-0; she will be playing Amanda Gerald of Allen County-Scottsville on Monday

The doubles team of Alexis Travis and Pooja Santapuram won 6-2, 6-4 over the doubles team of Stinson - Tooley of Monroe County.  They will play the # 3 seeded doubles team of Buckley-Gardner of Barren County on Monday.

The doubles team of Maitlin Nuckols-Mikayla Powell lost 6-0, 6-0 to the # 6 seeded team of Hudson-Cassady of South Warren High School.

The Region 4 KHSAA Girls Championship will resume play on Monday after school, weather permitting, at Keriakes Park in Bowling Green.
