Billy J. Travis, 77, Temple Hill, died Monday, May 7, 2012, at his residence. A native of Marianna, Arkansas, he was a son of the late Leland and Maudie White Travis. He was a retired truck driver, a United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, and had been attending St. Helen’s Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Sylvia; four sons, William David Travis of Summer Shade, Terry Lee Travis of Washington State, Garry Lynn Travis and Michael Wayne Travis both of Glasgow; two step-daughters, Pamela Terese Uribe of Los Angeles and Kimberly Ann Johnson of Tennessee; one brother, Don Cato; three sisters, Judy Newberry, Ruth Travis and Jean Cassese; 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jody Cato. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with a prayer service conducted by Father Joel Rogers at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
