A Glasgow man was injured after his vehicle collided with a light pole.

Just after 9am Wednesday morning, 41-year-old Michael R. Perkins of Glasgow was traveling east on Homewood Drive near the Electric Plant Board when he lost consciousness at the wheel. His vehicle left the roadway and came to rest after hitting a light pole.

Perkins was transported to T.J. Samson hospital for treatment of injuries. Glasgow Police Officer Howard Garrision investigated the accident and was assisted at the scene by the Barren-Metcalfe EMS.
