Charles Edward “Eddie” Wells age 62 of Brownsville died Tuesday at his home. He was a retired maintenance worker at Mammoth Cave National Park; an Air Force Veteran of the Viet Nam War; a member of the Wand B. Ward Chapter #32 Disabled American Veterans and a member of the Fairview United Baptist Church. He is survived by his mother Daphne Lou Wells Sanders of Brownsville; a daughter Rebecca Jones and husband Terry of Silent Grove; a son Joseph Wells and wife Melanie of Smiths Grove; two sisters Judy Davis and husband Gary of Chalybeate and Kathy Howard and husband Randy of Cedar Springs and three grandchildren Isaac Jones, Chloe Jones and Logan Wells. He was preceded in death by his father William Clarence Wells and a daughter Amy Amanda Wells. Funeral services for Charles Edward “Eddie” Wells will be held at 2pm Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Gravil Funeral Home with burial in the Hawkins Cemetery with military honors provided by Nisbet Alexander Post #6937, Veterans of Foreign Wars of which he was a member. Visitation from 12noon to 9pm Friday and after 9am Saturday at the funeral home.
