Helen Tillman Netherton, age 85, of Gamaliel, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville.

She was born September 12, 1926 in Madill, OK to the late James Carl Tillman and Effie Landreth Tillman. She was a homemaker and a member of Beautiful Home Baptist Church.  She was the widow of Hurla O. Netherton who died May 13, 1991.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Barbara & Alfred Turner of Gamaliel, Bonnie & Kenneth Arterburn of London, KY, one son: Charles Netherton of Gamaliel, one sister: Lilly Hallmark of Madill, OK, 12 grandchildren  15 great-grandchildren

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three sons: Tommy, James and Timmy Netherton, one brother: Charles Frank Tillman, three sisters: Tina Martin, Daisy Burrus and Viola Looney.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 26 at 11:00 AM at the Beautiful Home Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Beautiful Home Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2:00 PM on Friday and after 7:30 AM on Saturday at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel.
