Nell L. Cooke Gibson, 87, of Brownsville formerly of Louisville passed away Saturday, May  26, 2012 in Louisville. She was a Homemaker and a member of Brownsville Missionary Baptist Church. The Edmonson County native was born May 1, 1925, the daughter of the late  Milous Cooke and the late Della Johnson Cooke and the wife of the late William T. “Jack” Gibson, Jr.

She is survived by  one son, Jerry W. Gibson (Jan)  of Crestwood, KY; one daughter, Barbara J. Raeber (Bob) of Louisville, KY;  one sister, Ruth Bryant of Dayton, OH; five grandchildren, Bobby Raeber (Leslie), Chris Gibson (Kristen) , Amy Harris (Eric), Regina Gibson and Elizabeth Durante (Joe) and  seven great grandchildren,  Lauren Raeber, Ethan Harris, Leah Raeber, Riley Harris, Nathan Raeber, Emma Durante and Mila Durante.

Funeral services for Nell L. Cooke Gibson will be held at 2pm Tuesday at the Patton Funeral Home Brownsville Chapel with burial in the Brownsville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11am--2pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Brownsville Cemetery wih Bro. Jimmy York officiating.
