J.W. “Jake” Copas, age 65 of Red Boiling Springs passed away Monday at the Monroe County Medical Center. He was born in Monroe County and was a retired electrician and plumber and was of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by his wife: Kathleen Copas; two daughters: Vickie Buzzard of Bowling Green and Tammy Broadbent of Trigg County, Kentucky; four sons: Joey Copas of Fountain Run, Jeffrey Copas of Clementsville, Tennessee; Jimmy and Dewayne Frazier of Tompkinsville; four sisters: Kathleen Wilkerson of Lafayette, Ruth Vernon of Mt. Vernon, Linda Price of Hermitage Springs, Tennessee and Becky Smith of Celina, Tennessee; 21 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for J.W. “Jake” Copas will be at 1PM Thursday at the Yokley Trible Funeral Home with burial in the Old Mt. Hermon Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1PM Wednesday.
