Junior Clay “JR” Lair age 69 of Cookeville, Tennessee died Monday, June 25, 2012 at his home.  Born in Metcalfe County he was an Army Veteran and was the son of the late Dallas Clay and Laura Mae Jessie Lair.

He is survived by one son Curtis Lair and wife Serena of Cookeville, Stacey Pickett and husband Jason of Missouri, Kimberly Lair and fiancé Jason Parker of Cookeville, six grandchildren Cody, Chandler, Patrick, Chelsea, Paige, and Nina; one brother Floyd Lair and wife Kathy of Edmonton; one sister Janice Sue Jennings of Edmonton and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Helen Marie Forrest and a brother in law Carlos Jennings.

Funeral services for Junior Clay “JR” Lair will be 1:00 PM Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
