Mr. Orville Earl Scott, age 82, of Burkesville, Ky., passed away Monday July 9, 2012 at the Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on Tuesday October 22, 1929 at the Hegira Community in Cumberland Co., Kentucky the son of Hubert Ples and Eunice Davidson Scott. He was of the United Methodist Faith, An Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a construction worker. He was preceded in death by his parents, His wife Bertie Lee Davis Scott, his brothers, Carvil Scott, Johnie Scott, and his sister Golda Booher.

He is survived by his daughters, Orvileen Dozier of Gallatin, Tennessee and Beverly Dionne of Louisville, Ky. Sisters, Mary Gustavia Lowhorn and Margie Melton both of Albany, Ky., his brother, Billy Wayne (and Linda) Scott of Burkesville, Ky., Three Grandchildren, Mandy Dionne, Leslie Crane and Brandie Wilder, Four Great-Grandchildren, Clay, Austin, Jordan and Makayla.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Brother Brandon Thompson officiating. Burial will be in the Perkins Cemetery. Friends may call after 6:00 p.m. Thursday July 12, 2012 until the funeral hour Saturday Professional services provided by Norris-New Funeral Home.
