Russell W. Buckner, 81  of Munfordville passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at his home. A son of the late Robert & Greathel Johnson Buckner, he was born on December 26, 1930 in Hart County. Russell was a retired farmer, a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church and served as deacon for over 50 years.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years-Louise Tennyson Buckner; 3 daughters-Patty Grider of Munfordville Linda Warren & hus. Richard of Elizabethtown Becky Buckner of Munfordville; 3 grandchildren-Paul Grider & wife Angela of Horse Cave Ben Benningfield & wife Ashley of Munfordville Chad Cantrell of Elizabethtown 3 great-grandchildren-Logan Grider, Mackenzie & Colton Benningfield

He was preceded in death by a brother-Bobby Buckner

Funeral services for Russell W. Buckner will be 2pm Friday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with Bro. Ben Benningfield, Bro. Paul Grider, Bro. Curtis Slinker & Chad Cantrell officiating.  Burial will be in the Munfordville Municipal Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 2-9pm and after 8am Friday at the Sego Funeral Home until time for services.
