Velma Moore, age 97 of Summer shade, died Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the Barren Co Health Care Center. She was a daughter of the late William and Cora Lee Witty Gossettt and a retired employee of Ky. Pants.

She is survived by one son, Billy Moore;  two nieces, Margaret Cox and Billie Sue Ray;  two nephews, Joe and William Gossett. She is also survived by several special neighbors.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Moore,  one sister, Neva Nunnally and two brothers, Urey and Ewing Gossett.

Funeral services will be Monday, Aug.20 at 1:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro Gary Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Poplar Log Cemetery.

Visitation will begin Sunday,Aug.19 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
