James E. Harman age 87 of Smiths Grove died Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at his residence.  The Barren County native was the son of the late Jim Harman and Lois Beckham Harman.  He was retired from Holly Automotive; a farmer and a WWII Army Veteran.

He is survived by his daughter Jeanette Conner and her husband Larry; two grandchildren, Michelle Williamson and husband Taylor, Micah, Hayley and Kaya; one brother Aubrey Harmon and wife Jean; three sisters Odell Grinstead, Fannie Wood and Dorthay Wood.

He was preceded in death by his wife Irene Beckham Harman;a daughter Patricia Harman and a sister Hazel Magers.

Funeral services for James E. Harmon will be held at 11am Saturday at the Hardy and Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.  Visitation from 2 to 6pm Friday.   Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Pleasant Grove Cemetery Fund, % of Tim Minton 2222 Pondsville Road, Smiths Grove, KY 42171.
