The music of  South Green Elementary School Students set the stage for a fabulous dedication ceremony of the 911 memorial today.

That’s 5th grader  Lauren Witt.  South Green Elementary has put on this First Responders Ceremony for the past 10 years.  But today the celebration moved to downtown Glasgow, next to the Fire Department A  memorial that contains a piece of steel from the world trade center, obtained through the efforts of several fire department officials led by chief Tony Atwood, was unveiled to a large crowd who lined Broadway to commemorate the day:

Glasgow Mayor Rhonda Trautman reminded the large crowd that it was not easy

And Senator David Givens added that these life changing events are important to build memorials to.
