Eugenia Evelyn Atwell, age 92, of Hardyville, KY, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville, KY. She was a homemaker and a member of The Church In Canmer.

She was the daughter of the late G.E. Rhea and the late Dessie Obannion Rhea and wife of the late Jessie Porter "J.P." Atwell.

She is survived by two sons: Ronnie Atwell (Kaye), Hardyville, KY, Darryl Atwell (Mary), Lexington, KY; four grandchildren: Bruce Atwell, Shannon Hisle, Lindee Kelley, Ryan Atwell; nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, Marcel Atwell.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, September 22, 2012 and from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Brooks Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Barry Locke officiating. Interment will be at Pearl Webb Cemetery, Canmer, KY.
