Freda Jean Sturgeon age 56 of Cave City died Sunday, September 30, 2012 in Bowling Green.   She was in Housekeeping at the Housing Authority and Country Hearth and she was a homemaker.  She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Hollis Glenn Sturgeon; one son, Glenn “Tracy” Sturgeon and wife Miranda of Cave City; three daughters, Tonya Sturgeon of Bowling Green, Sonya Gedda and husband Jason and Rebecca Sturgeon all of Horse Cave; three brothers Douglas Manley and wife Sonia of Park City, Carl D. Manley and wife Teresa and Terry Manley all of Louisville; one sister Carol Grey of Bowling Green; step-father, Carl Manley of Lousiville; ten grandchildren, Evleyn Greeno,Thomas Bennett, Neelix Carin, Alicia Bennett, Cody and Dylan Sturgeon, Whitney and Jacy Gedda, Haley Sturgeon and Jaren Gedda and one great-grandson, Daniel Grenno also surviving.

She was preceded in death by her parents Louis Church  and Evelyn Blair Manley.

Funeral services for Freda Jean Sturgeon will be held at 11am Thursday at the Patton Funeral Home, Park City Chapel with burial in the New Hope Church Cemetery.  Visitation from 5 to 8pm Tuesday, 11am to 8pm Wednesday and 9am until 11am Thursday at the funeral home.
