Barren County Board of Education met in their October session last night, and heard from Superintendent Bo Matthews that with the school year already a quarter of the way complete, the district is anxiously awaiting test results. No Flash Player detected Of course funding is always a concern for any school district, and Finance Officer John Stith gave the board a comparison of this years funding versus last year No Flash Player detected And Supervisor of Instruction Dr. Benny Lile says they are working with the board in actively seeking on other sources of funding. No Flash Player detected The board is taking advantage of the KISTA program which allows the amortization of bus purchases over a period of time, as we learn from Interim Transportation Director Charlie Campbell.
