Bobby Joe Hammer, 46, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Monday, October 15th, at the Monroe County Medical Center. Bobby was born in Tompkinsville, Ky on November 7, 1965, a son of the late Evie Nell Hammer Capps. On April 12, 1984,at Old Mulkey Park, he married Geneva  (Jackson) Hammer, who survives him. Bobby was employed as a sawmill worker.

Bobby is survived by a daughter, Dianna Louise Hammer, of Tompkinsville, KY; a son, Daniel Thomas Hammer, of Tompkinsville, KY; a sister, Wanda Jane Henson, of Tompkinsville, KY; two brothers, Jerry Thomas Hammer, of Tompkinsville, KY; Billy Dale Hammer, of Tompkinsville, KY., and a grandson, Aiden Scott Hammer.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Evie Nell Hammer Capps, and a brother, Leonard Lee (Jack) Hammer.

Funeral services will be held at Yokley Trible Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, KY, at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 18th.

Visitation begins Wednesday, October 17 from 4:00-9:00 P.M. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home and again on Thursday from 6:00 -11:00 A.M. Burial will be in the Mt. Poland Cemetery.
