NASHVILLE MAN HIT WHILE WALKING IN EMERGENCY LANE ON I-65 PDF Print E-mail

Early Saturday Morning, Warren County Sheriff Deputies responded to a suspicious persons call at the 16 Mile Marker of I-65 N. The complaint was of a man lying on the side of the road, waving a white shirt, attempting to stop vehicles. Upon the deputies’ arrival, they located 46-year-old Tyrone Wilson of Nashville in a ditch. Mr. Wilson stated he was walking in the emergency lane when he was struck by a vehicle from behind. The vehicle then fled the scene without rendering aid. Tyrone Wilson was transported to the Medical Center where he is listed in stable condition. Warren County Sheriffs office in conjunction with Butler County Sheriffs office received a tip and was able to locate the driver, 22-year-old Kyle Herbert of Nashville who was taken into custody. Mr. Herbert is lodged in Warren County Regional Jail on charges of Wanton Endangerment First Degree and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the collision. The investigation continues.
