Halloween should be a fun time for children. Unfortunately though, some individuals seek to spoil that good time and even hurt children in the process. With this in mind, the Barren County Sheriff’s Office will be using their x-ray equipment at the Court House from 5 until 9 on Halloween night, Wednesday October 31, to ensure the candy your child collects is safe for them. If you wish to bring your child’s candy by during that time for x-ray you may do so free of charge.

The Barren County Sheriff’s Office cares about your children. Let’s all work together to make this Halloween safe for them all.

The Warren County Sheriff’s office teams up again this Halloween, as they have for many years, with the Kentucky Colonels Amateur Radio Club to provide security on the bridges and overpasses in Warren County. The Radio Club has provided this service on Halloween since the early 70’s. The Radio Club monitors the overpasses to ensure items are not being thrown from bridges. The Sheriff’s Office appreciates this partnership with the Radio Club as the deputies and manpower to do so. The citizens of Warren County can feel safer this Halloween as the deputies will be doing routine patrols and answering calls, as the Kentucky Colonel’s Radio Club monitors bridges and overpasses.

Today is Makayla Eatmon Day!  She is celebrating sweet 16th birthday.
