The Glasgow Fire Department responded to Prestwick drive around 1:43am to a report of grass on fire. Upon arrival firefighters found that there were rolls of hay that was on fire. It was determined that there was around 70 rolls of hay with around 20 of them actually on fire. Firefighters requested that the street dept bring out a backhoe to separate the hay seeing that the owner of the hay could not be located as of this morning. Firefighters were able to save around 50 rolls of hay. Units were on the scene around 4 and a half hours. The hay was not fully extinguished and may burn for a couple of days till it burns itself out, so if you are in that area keep this in mind.
