On Friday, November the 2nd at 12:38 am, Glasgow Police observed 22-year-old Travis Branstetter’s vehicle traveling west on HWY 90. The vehicle was weaving on the roadway. After police pulled the vehicle over, they noticed an open alcoholic container in the vehicle. During the heel to toe step test, he stepped off the line multiple times. While officers attempted to handcuff Branstetter, he started to pull away from them. Police had to restrain subject on his vehicle and he became compliant. On the way to the jail, Branstetter became very verbally abusive which was recorded on the dash cam. Once at the jail, he continued to be very disorderly. Branstetter stood up and came towards Officer Fletcher while writing the citation in an aggressive manner, then jail staff had to restrain the subject. Branstetter was arrested and charged with Reckless Driving, Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Drugs/Alcohol/etc. 2nd offense, Disorderly Conduct 2nd degree, Resisting Arrest, and Possession of an Open Alcoholic Container in Motor Vehicle.
