Fred Dale Reeves, 80, formerly of Glasgow, died Monday, November 12, 2012. He was born on May 2, 1932 to the late Everett and Beatrice Curtis Reeves in Woodford County, Kentucky. Mr. Reeves was a Public Relations Advisor for Barren County Rural Electric and a Veteran of the United States Navy having served in the Korean War. He was a member and elder of First Christian Church in Glasgow. Mr. Reeves was the former President of the Rotary Club in Glasgow, a Kentucky Colonel, and a member of the Optimist Club being named Optimist of the Year in 1965. He was also the President of the Christian Fellowship at the University of Kentucky.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Heinmiller Reeves. He is survived by his sisters, Lois Redden, Lawrenceburg, Eileen Congleton, Georgetown and Glenda Montgomery, Louisville; several nieces, nephews and cousins and a special friend, Martha Hurt, Glasgow.

Graveside service will be Thursday, 11am CST at Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, 5-7pm at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society .
