On November 20, 2012 at approximately 10:06 P.M., Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green received a call for service in reference to a single vehicle injury accident at the 3500 block of Boyds Knob Road in Hart County.

Through investigation, it was determined that Dalton Maulden (17), of Magnolia, was eastbound on Boyds Knob Road when he met an oncoming vehicle partially in his lane of travel. In an attempt to avoid a collision with the oncoming vehicle, Mr. Maulden swerved toward the opposite lane. This action caused him to lose control of his vehicle and exit the roadway where he struck a tree.

He was transported to Caverna Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released. The investigation is being led by Trooper Jeremy Smith and he was assisted by Trooper Wesley Medley, Hardyville Volunteer Fire Department, and Hart County EMS.
