Tonight at The Plaza Theatre, over 20 of south-central Kentucky’s musicians will perform a concert known as “The Last Waltz”.  In 1976, a group known as “The Band” performed their last concert with the help of musical guests such as Eric Clapton, Muddy Waters, Emmy Lou Harris, Van Morrison, Neil Diamond, and Joni Mitchell among dozens of artists from that era of music.  This Friday night, the show forever to be known in history as “The Last Waltz” will be recreated at The Plaza Theatre.

 

Last year, the group performed the same show at George J’s to a capacity on New Year’s Eve.  The inspiration of a Martin Scorcese film titled after the concert has given birth to an eclectic variety of talent and a show that has received rave reviews.  Guitarist and vocalist Josh Johnson tells us more…

Tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the door.  Friday Night at 7pm at The Plaza Theatre, join in for a night of fun and music, and food and drinks provided by The Stellar House
