WKU honored 34 students from five Glasgow area high schools for their academic achievements. This year’s group has an average ACT composite score of 29.76 and grade-point average of 3.92 and included 12 Kentucky Governor’s Scholars and one National Merit Semifinalist. The following students were honored at a luncheon Nov. 27 at the South Central Bank Operations Center in Glasgow: Barren County High School: Mattie Bruton,Matthew Bunnell, Nicholas Cairo, Lucas Cook, Megan Garrison, Samantha Hammer, Cody Hunt, Rilee Mathews, Hunter Payne, Jay Todd Richey, Ashley Steenbergen, Kaylie Young, Matthew Zuccari. Glasgow High School: Katlan Bradley, Aaron Cambron, Elizabeth Garrett, Kelsey Greer, Sarah Howard, Victoria Hunley, Martina Lessenberry, Tyler Reid, Jared Thompson, Caroline Travis. Glasgow Christian Academy: Brittany Allen, Jonathan German, Ellen Howard, Madison Short. Metcalfe County High School: Bryson Keltner, Tayler McMurtrey. Monroe County High School: Mikayla Grider, Jacob Hodges, John Reecer, Brook Simmons, Allison Thompson.
