FISCAL COURT DISCUSSES JAIL; HEARS OF HONOR FOR CHILD SUPPORT PDF Print

The Barren Fiscal Court was in session for a brief meeting last night.  The court received word from County Attorney Jeff Sharp of the Barren County Child Support office receiving the Outstanding Performance Award for the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family services.

The Court then voted on second reading of two ordinances dealing with lowering of the speed limit on Fox Trail and Clubhouse Lane to 25 miles per hour.  In new business, the court approved budget adjustments as well as acknowledged the County Clerks proposal to hire a new deputy.  Magistrate Chris Steward had asked to be put on the agenda during the jail report.  In summary he wanted to ask Judge Davie Greer about her confidence in a recent report on a jail inspection conducted by the state:

The Court will meet on January 8th to review the Barren County Jail Inspection.
