MAN ARRESTED ON PARKWAY FOR METH AND MARIJUANA CHARGES PDF Print

On Saturday, December 29th at approximately 7:38 am, the Barren-Edmonson Drug Task Force and the Barren County Sheriff’s Department stopped a 1995 green Nissan pickup on the Cumberland Parkway. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 28-year-old Kris E. Denton of Edmonton. Deputies noticed marijuana in a glass jar in plain view while speaking with Mr. Denton. Mr. Denton gave consent to search the vehicle. A Detective with the DTF recovered suspected marijuana, a marijuana pipe, suspected meth, and a large black duffle bag with chemicals and equipment used to manufacture methamphetamine. Mr. Denton was arrested and charged with Manufacturing meth, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and excessive window tinting. Mr. Denton was lodged in the Barren Co. jail. The investigation and traffic stop was conducted by the DTF and Barren County Sheriff Deputies Mike Houchens and Kevin Wilson.
