Tuesday morning at 8:00am, Circuit Judge Phil Patton welcomed a big crowd for the swearing in of new Commonwealth’s Attorney for Barren and Metcalfe Counties, John Gardner, and re-elected Circuit Court Clerk, Krissie Fields.

John Gardner tells WCLU, he’s ready to begin his responsibilities as Commonwealth’s Attorney.

Gardner will bring in first Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney, Mike Pearson.  Pearson’s resume includes 20 years as the assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Warren County.  Gardner’s wife, Resa, will be a part-time assistant attorney as well, bringing in a lot of experience in criminal law.
