Betty Lou Murphy, 78, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away Thursday, January 10th, at the Monroe County Medical Center.

Betty Lou was born in Tompkinsville, Ky on December 6, 1934, a daughter of the late Mamie (Emberton) and Don  Marrs Grinestaff. On March 10, 1951 she married Newman Murphy, who survives her.  Betty was a homemaker and was a member of the Oak Hill Church of Christ.

Betty Lou is survived by one daughter, Rebecca (Steve) Miller, of Tompkinsville; one son,Wallace (Gillia) Murphy, of Florence KY; one grandson, Daniel Miller of Tompkinsville; two sisters, June ( Rex) Gittings, of Tompkinsville and Deloris June, of Columbus Ohio.

Funeral services for Betty Lou Murphy will be held at Yokley Trible Funeral Home at 11:00 A. M. on Saturday, January 12th,  with Lewis Blythe officiating.

Visitation will be held Friday January 11, 2013, from 4-8 P. M. and Saturday January 12, 2013, 6-11 A. M.at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the Memorial Lawn.

Donations are suggested to the Alzheimers Association.
