FIRE IN BOWLING GREEN AT A RESIDENCE THAT WAS NOT OCCUPIED PDF Print

On Thursday January 10, 2013 at approximately 8:04 P.M., The Woodburn Fire Department responded to a structure fire located at 3888 Woodburn-Allen Springs Road. Upon the Fire Departments arrival, the fire was concentrated at the rear entrance of the residence.

The homeowners were identified as Melvin and Nora Williams. The residence was not occupied as the owners were in the process of moving to a second residence located in Butler County. The Kentucky State Fire Marshal’s Office responded to perform a cause and origin and identified multiple points of origin in the residence.

The SFO then contacted the Kentucky State Police regarding the suspected Arson. The investigation indicated that the Arson was an attempt to conceal a Burglary of the residence.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Kentucky State Police or the Kentucky State Arson Task Force at 1-800-27ARSON. Callers with information that leads to an Arrest and Conviction can be eligible to receive an award of up to $1,000.00 Cash
