The Barren County native was born June 7, 1926, and preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Willie Frank Hughes; her parents, Joe and Mary Ellen Williams Carver; and 10 brothers and sisters. Margaret was a homemaker and member of Northside Church of God. The love for her family was only surpassed by her love for God and her church. When able, she was a faithful attendee of all services. She enjoyed camping with her husband and visiting with family and friends. Survivors include her son, the Rev. Richard W. Hughes (Marcia) of Harvest, Ala.; a daughter, Joyce Logsdon (Charles Lee) of Bowling Green; three grandchildren, Christopher Decker (Shelly) of Bowling Green, Shannon Kennemer (Brian) of Chapel Hill, Tenn., and Dr. Jonathan R. Hughes (Nicole) of Blountville, Tenn.; three great-grandchildren, Jacob Kennemer, Lily Hughes and Ryann Decker; and eight nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday from noon to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time at J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel, with the funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Margaret Carver Hughes, 86, of Bowling Green, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at The Medical Center at 2:42 p.m.
