On Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at about 6:53 pm, Glasgow Police responded to 211 East Main Street Apt. 4 with Sgt. Burton and Sgt. Lewis in reference to a drug complaint. Police also received information that the subjects living there had warrants. Upon contact, Sgt. Lewis observed a syringe in plain view. 20-year-old Talyn Wheeler of Glasgow allowed officers in the residence. Once inside the residence, Sgt. Burton witnessed 21-year-old Christa Munos try to conceal a pipe. The pipe had drug residue in it. A two year old child was walking around inside the home. There were numerous syringes laying in plain view within reach of the child. Both Wheeler and Munos gave police consent to search the apartment. Syringes, pipes, scales, rolling papers, and drug residue were located in the home. Both Wheeler and Munos were charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st degree, 1st offense, drug unspecified, Possession of controlled substance 2nd degree, drug unspecified, Wanton Endangerment – 2nd degree, and possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both were arrested and transported to the Barren County Jail.
