53-YEAR-OLD CAVE CITY MAN ARRESTED FOR SHOPLIFTING AND P.I. PDF Print

On Tuesday, January 22nd, at 4:48 pm, Glasgow Police responded to Wal-Mart to investigate a possible shoplifting. Upon contact with 53-year-old Billy Rice of Cave City, Police observed that he had a blue-ish residue on the corners of his mouth suspected of being residue from pills. Rice also had extremely slurred speech and was staggering. Upon searching Rice, four shirts fell out from under his coat. The shirts were checked by Wal-Mart personnel to determine that it was Wal-Mart merchandise. When it was scanned, it was Wal-mart merchandise that totaled $19.94. Rice was handcuffed, checked, and double locked, then transported to the Barren County Jail. Rice was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking/Shoplifting, and Public Intoxication of a Controlled Substance.
