The Barren County Sheriff's Office received information Saturday from the owner of Red Cross Tack Shop that he felt he has just purchased some stolen property and wanted the sheriff's office to know that he had those items in his shop.

Deputy Bennett responded to the business and took inventory of the item.  He then contacted surrounding law enforcement agencies to report this items.

On Sunday,  Green County Sheriff's Office contacted Deputy Bennett stating that he had a victim of the stolen saddles, tack and harness and that he also had an individual in custody for the theft.

Deputy Bennett obtained arrest warrants for receiving stolen property for two male suspects. Arrested in Green County was 21 year old Tyler S. Winchester of Spillman Road in Barren County for the charges in Green County.  He was also served a Barren County Warrant. Another arrest is pending.

The value of the items recovered in Barren County was approximately $2000.00 and have since been returned to the owner which were saddle bridles and various tack related items.

The Barren County  Sheriff's Office urges all citizens to be aware of and report any suspicious activity.
