Mr. Simpson was born in Metcalfe County, owner and operator of Simpson's Garage and Welding Shop in LeGrande, a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and formerly lived in Hoopeston, Ill. where he owned Simpson's Wrecker Service. He also was an avid fisherman and a knife and coin collector. Mr. Simpson was preceded in death by his parents Jessie Simpson and Annie Ruth Trent Simpson, 3 sisters, Louise Simpson, Elois Turner and Elnora Simpson. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 3, 2013 in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home. Burial in the Cosby Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will begin 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Saturday and after 9:00 a.m. Sunday in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home.

Caly D. Simpson age 82 of the LeGrande community, passed away Thursday morning, January 31, 2013 at his home.
